June 9 - Varsity vs. Kimberly - Sectional Semi-Final:  De Pere 0  Kimberly 1
    De Pere (23-4) ended a great season when they were defeated 1-0 against Kimberly at Green Bay Southwest.  Kimberly pitcher Brad
    Schreiber pitched the complete game.  Schreiber allowed only three hits, four walks, and struck out eleven.  Brent Jorgensen also pitched
    the entire game allowing only four hits, two walks and struck out four batters.  Kimberly scored thier only run in the first inning.  Jamison
    Wells started the game with a double to right center field.  Colten Heagle then reached on a perfect bunt.  Schreiber then hit a sacrifice fly
    to right field to score Wells.  That was all Kimberly needed to defeat De Pere.  De Pere left runners in scoring position in the second, third,
    fifth, and sixth innings.  Colton Heagle was 2x3 for Kimberly to lead the Papermakers at the plate.

June 5 - Varsity vs, GB Preble - Regional Final:  De Pere 7  Preble 6
    De Pere (23-3) escaped a close battle with Green Bay Preble on Friday.  De Pere needed two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to
    prolong the game before winning the game in the ninth.  Brandon Wegter got the scoring started in the second inning when he roped an
    RBI double.  De Pere tied the game in the bottom of the second and went ahead 2-1 on Brent Jorgensen's RBI double in the third.  Preble
    came right back in the fourth to regain the lead 4-2 on Nate Francois' deep home run to left field.  De Pere closed the gap to one (4-3) on
    a ground out by Neal Henrigillis to score Kory Guns.  Preble's Cody Pangrazzi hit another home run to extend the Hornet lead to 5-3.  De
    Pere mounted a rally in the fifth inning and got one run on Kyle Ott's run scoring double.  Preble got a huge double play ground ball up
    the middle to end the rally to hold the lead at 5-4.  Collin Wendtland added some insurance in the sixth with an RBI single to take a 6-4
    lead.  In De Pere's seventh inning Ott and Guns walked.  Craig Hooyman bunted the runners over to second and third.  Jake DeCleene
    knocked one run in with a groundball to the right side to score Ott.  Neal Henrigillis then hit a two strike single to left to tie the game at 6-6.  
    Brent Jorgensen came in to pitch the final 3 and a third innings, allowing no runs while striking out four.  In De Pere's ninth inning
    Hooyman walked.  DeCleene had a perfect sacrifice bunt to move Hooyman up to second.  Henrigillis reached on an infield single.  Joe
    Betcher was intentionally walked to set the stage for freshman Tyler Nehring who replaced Mikole Pierce because of a sprained ankle.  
    Nehring hit the second pitch over the fence, but foul.  He then singled home Hooyman to win the game 7-6 in nine innings.

    Henrigillis was 3x6 and Kyle Ott was 2x4 for De Pere.  Kyle Mahlik and Collin Wendtland were both 3x5 for Preble.

May 29 - Varsity @ Sheyboygan South:  De Pere 9  Sheboygan South 3
    De Pere (22-3, 20-2) ended their regular season with a 9-3 victory at Sheboygan South on Thursday.  South struck first with an RBI single
    by Josh Grenke.  De Pere tied the game in the second and then exploded for eight runs in the third inning.  Brent Jorgensen had a two
    run single, Neal Henrigillis hit a three run home run, and Jake DeCleene had a run scoring single to highlight the big inning.  South scored
    two more unearned runs in the sixth inning to end the scoring.  Josh Honzik pitched six solid innings, striking out five and walking only one
    while giving up five hits.  All of South's runs were unearned.  De Pere's Joe Betcher was the only player who collected two hits in the game
    going 2x3.

    De Pere awaits the winner of Tuesday's game between Green Bay Preble and Green Bay East on Friday, June 5th at De Pere.

May 21 - Varsity vs. Ashwaubenon:  De Pere 2  Ashwaubenon 4
    De Pere (22-3, 19-2) was defeated by Ashwaubenon 4-2 on Thursday in De Pere.  Michael Robbins pitched six strong innings allowing
    only solo home runs to Joe Betcher in the first and Mikole Pierce in the sixth.  Robbins allowed only two other hits and struck out seven
    while walking three.  Beau VanLaanen pitched the seventh inning for the save.  Ben Schuurmans hit a game tying home run in the second
    inning.  Ashwaubenon then scored two unearned runs in the third to take the lead for good.  Kyle Ott had two hits for De Pere.  Chandler
    Kassner had two hits for Ashwaubenon.  Josh Honzik took the loss for De Pere.  Honzik allowed two earned runs in six innings of work.

May 19 - Varsity vs. Green Bay West:  De Pere 9  GB West 2
    De Pere (21-2, 19-1) clinched the outright conference title with their 9-2 win against Green Bay West.  De Pere struck first in the third
    inning when Mike Beyer doubled to lead off the inning and came around to score on Brent Jorgensen's sac fly to center fielder.  West tied
    the game in the fourth on back to back Redbird errors to score Hayden Estano who led off with a double.  De Pere jumped back out in the
    lead with two runs in the fourth.  With the bases loaded and one out Craig Hooyman bounced out to third scoring Garret Greeneway from
    third.  Jake DeCleene hit an RBI single to score Beyer.  West cut the game to one in the fifth when Ryan Webster squeezed in Tyler
    Mosupye.  De Pere broke the game open in the fifth inning when they scored six runs.  Greeneway hit a two run double, Beyer hit an RBI
    single, Hooyman hit a sac fly, and DeCleene bounced out to short to score the last run.

    Logan Hendricks pitched six strong innings, allowing only four hits, striking out four and walking only one intentionally.  Hendricks did not
    allow an earned run.  Kory Guns finished the game on the mound, pitching the seventh inning.

    DeCleene and Beyer had two hits apiece for De Pere.  Estano was 2x3 for West.

May 16 - Varsity vs. Sheboygan North (DH Game 2):  De Pere 16  Sheboygan North 4
    De Pere (20-2, 18-1) let a four run lead disappear in the bottom of the seventh inning, but ended up scoring twelve times in the ninth to
    defeat North in the second game of the doubleheader.  Jake DeCleene started the game with a walk and came around to score on a Joe
    Betcher double in the first.  De Pere added two more runs in the second with a fielder's choice RBI by DeCleene and a sacrifice fly by
    Brent Jorgensen.  De Pere extended their lead in the top of the seventh on a deep home run to center field by Garret Greeneway to lead
    4-0.  North scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh.  AJ Conrad had a two run double and Tyler Henderson had an RBI single for the
    key hits for North.  De Pere then put the game out of reach in the ninth inning, scoring twelve runs.  Jorgensen had an RBI single,
    Greeneway hit a three run triple, and DeCleene had a two run single for the key hits for De Pere.  Brent Jorgensen pitched the first five
    innings, allowing only three hits, striking out four, and walking none.  Joe Betcher pitched the last 2 and two thirds innings earning the win.

May 16 - Varsity vs. Sheyboygan North (DH Game 1):  De Pere 11  Sheyboygan North 2
    De Pere got all the runs they needed in the first inning to win game 1 11-2.  De Pere put up eight runs in the first inning.  Garret
    Greeneway and Kyle Ott each had RBI singles in the inning.  De Pere walked seven times in the first.  North scored two runs in the fifth
    inning with RBIs by Tyler Henderson and Colin Willis.  De Pere extended their lead in the fifth with three more runs to end the scoring.  
    Kory Guns hit an RBI single and Craig Hooyman had a two run triple in the fifth.  Hooyman ended the game with 3 RBI's and Guns had two
    driven in.  Nick Schadrie pitched the first six innings allowing only two hits and striking out seven.

May 14 - Varsity vs. Bay Port:  De Pere 1 Bay Port 0
    De Pere (18-2, 16-1) defeated Bay Port 1-0 in a pitcher's duel at De Pere on Thursday.  There were a combined three hits between the
    two teams.  Josh Honzik went the distance allowing only one hit and struck out nine batters.  Bay Port mounted a rally in the third inning
    when Logan Peot hit a bullet to the right of shortstop Joe Betcher who made a nice backhanded grab to end a second and third threat.  
    Sean Grabig pitched the entire game for Bay Port only allowing two hits to a powerful De Pere attack.  Grabig struck out six batters.  De
    Pere's only run was in the fourth inning.  Kory Guns had a one out single, Craig Hooyman walked with two outs.  Tyler Lennon pinch ran
    for Guns and Jake DeCleene roped a ball down the right field line to score Lennon from second.

May 12 - Varsity vs. Manitowoc:  De Pere 5  Manitowoc 2
    De Pere (17-2, 15-1) defeated Manitowoc 5-2 on Tuesday behind a strong pitching performance by Logan Hendricks.  Hendricks pitched
    the complete game, scattering seven hits and walking no one.  Jake DeCleene started the De Pere first inning with a single.  Brent
    Jorgensen bunted DeCleene to second.  Joe Betcher and Mikole Pierce walked to load the bases for Garret Greeneway.  Greeneway
    knocked in the first run on a sacrifice fly to right field.  De Pere added another run in the third on a sacrifice fly by Mikole Pierce.  De Pere
    broke the game open in the fifth inning with three runs.  Brent Jorgensen led the inning off with a single.  Betcher followed with another
    single.  Mikole Pierce then tripled to right field to score two runs.  Greeneway added another sacrifice fly to extend the De Pere lead to 5-
    0.  Manitowoc mounted a rally in the seventh inning, but Hendricks worked out of the jam to earn the win.  Tyler Wetenkamp was 2x3 with
    two doubles and an RBI.  Betcher was 3x3 for De Pere and also stole two bases.

May 9 - Varsity @ GB Preble (DH Game 2):  De Pere 10 GB Preble 1
    De Pere (16-2, 14-1) came out stong in game two and scored two runs in the first on run producing hits by Joe Betcher and Mikole
    Pierce.  The Redbirds scored three more in the third with the key hit coming from Kory Guns who doubled in two runs.  Preble scored a
    run in the fourth inning on an RBI double by Jake Dockum.  De Pere added to their lead in the fourth with a bases loaded walk by Pierce
    and and RBI single by Garret Greeneway.  Kyle Mahlik cut the De Pere lead to 7-2 in the fifth with an RBI single.  De Pere ended the
    scoring in the sixth when Jake DeCleene reached on an error, Brent Jorgensen doubled in DeCleene and Betcher cleared the bases with
    his second home run of the day going deep to right center field.  Josh Honzik pitched six strong innings allowing six scattered hits, while
    striking out five and walking only one.  Betcher pitched the last inning striking out two batters.

    Betcher was 3x4 with three runs scored and 3 RBI's.  DeCleene, Jorgensen, and Pierce had two hits apiece.

May 9 - Varsity @ GB Preble (DH Game 1):  De Pere 10  GB Preble 1
    De Pere allowed only one run in a bases loaded no out jam in the sixth inning to gain a victory.  Joe Betcher got the scoring started all by
    himself in the first inning when he hit a deep home run to left center field.  De Pere scored two more runs in the third inning on a pass ball
    that scored Betcher and a sacrifice fly by Nick Schadrie.  After Green Bay Preble scored one run in the sixth inning De Pere broke the
    game open in the top of the seventh when they scored seven runs.  Garret Greeneway had an RBI double, Jake DeCleene hit a two run
    single, and Brent Jorgensen hit an RBI double to pull De Pere through a close game.  Nick Schadrie pitched five strong innings allowing
    only three hits.  Josh Honzik relieved Schadrie with the bases loaded and no outs in a 3-0 game in the sixth.  Honzik struck out his first
    batter, gave up a sac fly to score Preble's only run, and got the third out on a line drive out to right field.  Betcher finished the game on the
    mound by striking out the side. Betcher was 2x2 with three runs scored and the first inning homerun.

May 8 - Varsity @ GB Southwest:  De Pere 5  GB Southwest 6
    De Pere (14-2, 12-1) were defeated for the first time in conference play on Friday.  Green Bay Southwest's John Philbin's RBI single in the
    bottom of the eighth inning scored Kyle Kuske to win 6-5.  De Pere scored two runs in the first inning on an RBI single by Garret
    Greeneway and a bases loaded walk by Tyler Lennon.  Southwest gained the lead in the third inning on an RBI single by Steve Relich and
    a two run double by Kuske.  Soutwest increased their lead to 5-2 in the fourth with a two run single by Andrew Clark.  De Pere scored a
    run in the fifth to cut the lead to 5-3 on a groundout by Joe Betcher to score Jake DeCleene who led off with a double.  With two outs in
    the seventh Soutwest intentionally walked Betcher to load the bases for Mikole Pierce.  Pierce ripped a full count pitch down the left field
    line to score Craig Hooyman and DeCleene.  Betcher was thrown out at the plate to end the inning.  Gunnar Eastman pitched six and a
    third strong innings holding De Pere's strong hitting attack to only four hits.  Eastman struck out six batters.  Kuske and Clark had two hits
    apiece for Southwest.  DeCleene was 2x4 for De Pere to lead the Redbirds.

May 5 - Varsity @ GB East:  De Pere 15  GB East 10
    De Pere (14-1, 12-0) scored eleven runs in the first three innings to earn their twelfth straight conference win without a loss.  Jake
    DeCleene led off the game with a home run to deep left field.  Two batters later Joe Betcher hit a two run home run.  Betcher also hit a
    three run home run in the second inning.  Betcher was 3x4 with three runs scored and five RBI's.  Garret Greeneway had three RBI's.  
    DeCleene, Brent Jorgensen, and Mikole Pierce had two hits apiece.  Green Bay East collected 18 hits in the game off of De Pere
    pitchers.  Nick Schadrie gave up only four earned runs in six innings of work.  Schadrie struck out five batters.

May 4 - Varsity @ Ashwaubenon:  De Pere 11 Ashwaubenon 7
    De Pere (13-1, 11-0) was down 4-3 heading to the fifth inning when Mikole Pierce doubled and Brent Jorgensen knocked him in with a
    single that fell between three defenders to tie the game at 4-4.  Ashwaubenon answered in the bottom of the fifth with two runs on an RBI
    double by Beau Schuurmans and a nicely executed squeeze play by Ryan Cwiak to take the lead back from De Pere 6-4.  De Pere put up
    seven runs in the sixth inning to bust the game open.  Craig Hooyman hit a sac fly to score the first run.  Joe Betcher hit a run scoring
    double to tie the game at 6-6.  Ashwuabenon decided to intentionally walk Mikole Pierce to load the bases for Garret Greeneway who hit a
    bomb to deep left field for a grand slam.  De Pere then cruised to an 11-7 victory.  Josh Honzik pitched the first six innings and Kory Guns
    finished the game with three consecutive outs on the mound.

    Mike Beyer hit a solo home run in the second inning and was 2x3 in the game.  Betcher was 3x5.  Pierce, Greeneway, and Jorgensen also
    had two hits apiece for De Pere.

May 2 - Varsity vs. Stevens Point (DH Game 2):  De Pere 7  Stevens Point 5
    De Pere (12-1) came back in the second game to earn a split of the doubleheader over Steven's Point 7-5.  Point scored an unearned run
    in the second inning on an RBI double by Dylan McHugh.  Point added two more runs in the fourth to extend the lead to 3-0.  De Pere's
    bats were held silent for the first three innings getting only one hit.  De Pere busted out of their hitting slump in the fourth inning with four
    runs to take the lead.  Brent Jorgensen had a bases clearing single with the bases loaded on a throwing error that scored the third run.  
    Michael Beyer hit a deep double over the leftfielder's head to score Jorgensen.  Point regained the lead in the fifth with two runs on run
    scoring hits by Ben Smith and Erin Rasmussen.  De Pere tied the game in the bottom of the fifth on a shallow sacrifice fly by Mikole
    Pierce.  The second baseman made a diving play and Neal Henrigillis tagged up and scored to tie the game.  Joe Betcher pitched the last
    two and two thirds innings in relief of Kory Guns to earn the win allowing only one hit in the last two innings of work.  De Pere ended the
    scoring in the sixth inning with two runs with a key run scoring single by Henrigillis.  

    Joe Betcher was 2x4 and Brent Jorgensen was 2x3 to lead the De Pere hitters.  Josh Barnes was 3x4, Erin Rasmussen was 2x4, and
    Dylan McHugh was 2x3 for Steven's Point.

May 2 - Varsity vs. Stevens Point (DH Game 1): De Pere 1  Stevens Point 3
    De Pere (#2 in the state) lost their first game of the season 3-1 to Steven's Point (#4 in the state) in the first game of a doubleheader.  
    Point scored two runs in the second inning on RBI singles by Dylan McHugh and Bob Gregorich.  Point extended their lead to 3-0 in the
    fourth inning.  De Pere tried to mount a comeback in the fifth inning when Jake DeCleene hit a triple to deep center field to score Kyle Ott.  
    But Ryan Williams shut down the Redbirds for six innings and Michael Hoerter came in to pitch the seventh inning to earn the save.

    Kyle Ott was 3x3 and Garrett Greeneway was 2x3 for De Pere.  The leading hitters for Point were Ethan Winker 2x4, Ben Smith 2x4, and
    Adam Bartlett 2x3.

April 30 - Varsity @ Notre Dame:  De Pere 12  Notre Dame 0
    De Pere pitcher Josh Honzik threw a five inning no hitter in a 12-0 win over Green Bay Notre Dame.  Honzik struck out seven and walked
    three in the win.  Neal Henrigillis was perfect at the plate going 4x4 with two RBI's.  De Pere (11-0,10-0) broke the game open in the fifth
    inning.  There were three key hits in the fifth.  Mikole Pierce ripped a two run double to center field, and Mike Beyer and Tony Tappero
    each had two run singles.  Joe Betcher and Beyer had two hits apiece in the win.

April 28 - Varsity vs. Sheboygan South:  De Pere 5  Sheboygan South 3
    De Pere (10-0, 9-0) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Joe Betcher singled and Mikole Pierce hit a double to score Betcher.  
    Sheboygan South tied the game in the third inning on a fielder's choice ground ball hit by Jared Gruenke to score Justin Reineke.  De
    Pere answered in the bottom half of the third inning.  Garrett Greeneway came up with the bases loaded and two outs when he ripped a
    three run double to right center field to take the lead 4-1.  South scored a run in the fifth and a run in the sixth to end their scoring.  Mikole
    Pierce hit a home run to deep center field to end the scoring at 5-3.  Nick Schadrie pitched 5 and two thirds of an inning allowing five hits,
    four strikeouts, and four walks.  Kory Guns finished the game earning the save for De Pere.

    Betcher, Pierce, and Kyle Ott had two hits apiece for De Pere.  Jared Gruenke was 2x3 for South.

April 24 - Varsity vs. Green Bay Southwest:  De Pere 13  GB Southwest 3
    De Pere (9-0, 8-0) came back from a 3-0 deficit to win 13-3 in five innings.  GB Southwest jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning.  Ben
    Arves led the game off with a single.  Arves was sacrificed over to second with a Steve Relich bunt.  Kyle Kuske then doubled in Arves.  
    Matt Bowman singled.  Gunnar Eastman grounded to second to score Kuske.  Southwest finished their scoring with an RBI single by
    Jonathan Champeau.  De Pere answered with two runs in the bottom of the first highlighted by an RBI double by Mikole Pierce.  De Pere
    took the lead in the second inning on a two run double by Joe Betcher.  Kory Guns hit a sac fly in the third to extend the lead to 6-3.  
    Pierce hit another RBI double in the fourth inning to put De Pere up 7-3.  De Pere ended the game in the fifth with six runs highlighted by
    RBI singles from Jake DeCleene, Brent Jorgensen, Joe Betcher, and Garrett Greeneway.  

    Josh Honzik pitched all five innings for De Pere striking out five and walking two.  Betcher was 3x3 with 3 RBI's; Pierce was 2x3 with 2 RBI's,
    and Garrett Greeneway was 2x4 with an RBI to lead De Pere in hitting.  Matt Bowman was 2x3 and Jonathan Champeau was 2x2 with an
    RBI.

April 23 - Varsity vs. West De Pere:  De Pere 8  West De Pere 1   (Read More from S. Venci)
    De Pere (8-0, 7-0) exploded for eight runs in the fourth inning to defeat West De Pere.  West De Pere scored the first run in the third
    inning when Brett Bero walked and eventually came around to score on a fielder's choice by Jon Schlemmer.  Joe Betcher got the big
    fourth inning started with a single.  Mikole Pierce walked.  Garrett Greeneway bunted a perfect bunt down the third base line to load the
    bases.  Brent Jorgensen then took a full count pitch and drove it to left field to score two runs.  De Pere never looked back after that.  Nick
    Schadrie pitched five innings allowing only two hits, striking out five and walking three.  Kory Guns finished the game on the mound
    recording six straight outs.

    Brent Jorgensen was 2x4 with 2 RBI's and Kyle Ott was 2x3 with an RBI.

    De Pere (7-0) came out hot in the second game of the double header.  Garrett Greeneway had an RBI single in the first inning scoring Joe
    Betcher.  Jake DeCleene hit a sac fly to score Kyle Ott, Neal Henrigillis singled in Craig Hooyman, and Joe Betcher got Henrigillis home on
    an infield ground ball to increase the lead to 4-0 in the second inning.  De Pere added one run in the third on an RBI single by DeCleene
    and another run in the fourth on a groundball by Greeneway to score Betcher to lead 6-0 after four innings.  De Pere continued their hot
    hitting in the fifth with RBI singles by Henrigillis and Betcher.  Mikole Pierce who was 5x5 in the second game and 7x7 on the day hit a run
    scoring double in the seventh.  Pulaski (1-5) scored one run in the seventh inning to complete the scoring at 10-1.  Nick Schadrie pitched
    a solid six innings, allowing only two hits on 8 strikeouts and no walks.  

    Betcher was 3x4 with 2RBI's.  DeCleene, Henrigillis, and Craig Hooyman each collected two hits in the second game.

April 18 - Varsity vs. Pulaski (DH Game 1):  De Pere 3  Pulaski 1
    De Pere (6-0) edged Pulaski (1-4) 3-1 in game one of a doubleheader.  De Pere scored two runs in the third inning when Joe Betcher
    singled home two runs with the bases loaded and two outs.  De Pere scored another run on Mikole Pierce's RBI triple to increase the lead
    to 3-0.  Logan Hendricks carried a no hitter into the seventh inning before giving up a leadoff double to Collin Cannella who later scored
    on a walk by Matt Vanhimbergen.  Hendricks pitched 6 and a third innings allowing only a single hit.  He struck out 8 batters and walked
    only three.  Josh Honzik finished the game on the mound earning the save.  

    Mikole Pierce was 2x2 for De Pere.

    De Pere (5-0) had their first nine batters score in the first inning without recording an out.  Jake DeCleene, Garrett Greeneway, and Kyle
    Ott had five RBI's apiece.  DeCleene was a perfect 4x4.  Ott collected three hits.  Joe Betcher had three hits including a home run.  Mikole
    Pierce also hit a home run in the game.  Kory Guns pitched the complete game for De Pere.  He allowed only four hits, struck out five and
    walked four.  Hayden Estano was 2x3 with two doubles for Green Bay West.

April 14 - Varsity @ Bay Port:  De Pere 6  Bay Port 3
    De Pere improved to 4-0 after a 6-3 win at Bay Port.  Jake DeCleene started the first inning with a single and scored on two Bay Port
    errors.  Bay Port tied the game in the bottom of the first inning with a force out by AJ Gaura.  De Pere jumped back on top in the third
    inning with two unearned runs.  Bay Port cut into the 3-1 lead with an RBI double by Dom Utrie.  De Pere extended their lead to 5-2 in the
    fourth when Bay Port balked in a run and DeCleene hit a run scoring single.  Bay Port finished their scoring in the fourth with an RBI
    double by Zac Peterson.  Josh Honzik shut down the Pirates for the final three innings to collect the complete game 6-3 win.  Honzik struck
    out three batters and walked two.  

    DeCleene and Kyle Ott each collected two hits for De Pere.

April 9 - Varsity @ Manitowoc Lincoln:  De Pere 12  Manitiwoc Lincoln 1
    De Pere (3-0) exploded for six runs in the third inning to open up a scoreless game and cruised to a 12-1 six inning victory over Manitowoc
    on Thursday.  Logan Hendricks pitched five strong innings, striking out four and walking two.  Neal Henrigillis and Joe Betcher collected
    two hits apiece.  

    Brent Jorgensen added three RBI's and Garrett Greeneway had two RBI's in the win.

April 7 - Varsity vs. Green Bay East:  De Pere 17  Green Bay East 2
    De Pere (2-0) put together back to back eight run innings to crush Green Bay East 17-2 in a five inning game.  Garrett Greeneway was
    the leading hitter going 2x3 with 4 RBI's and 2 runs scored.  Kory Guns, Kyle Ott, and Craig Hooyman added 2 RBI's apiece.  Green Bay
    East allowed fourteen free passes in four innings.  Josh Honzik pitched the complete game to earn the win on the mound.  Honzik struck
    out six and walked no one to lead De Pere.

April 2 - Varsity vs. Notre Dame:  De Pere 7  Notre Dame 2
    The De Pere Redbirds started off the season on a strong note defeating the Notre Dame Tritons 7-2 in the first conference games.  De
    Pere started off strong with two runs in the first, highlighted by Mikole Pierce and Garrett Greeneway's RBI doubles.  De Pere added
    another run in the second inning with a deep home run by Craig Hooyman to extend the lead to 3-0.  De Pere added to their lead in the
    fourth with a bases loaded two run single by Brent Jorgensen.  Notre Dame scored one run in the sixth with a Nick Prebelski RBI single to
    cut the lead to 5-1.  The Redbirds added two insurance runs in the sixth with an RBI single by Greeneway and a groundout by Kyle Ott to
    score Greeneway.  Notre Dame scored one last run in the seventh to end the scoring.  Winning pitcher Josh Honzik pitched four innings,
    striking out six batters and walking only one.  Brent Jorgensen finished the game on the mound.
