WIAA - Sectional Final vs. Antigo - June 6 - De Pere 13 Antigo 2
    Antigo reached the championship round by virtue of their 3-2 win over the
    Shawano Hawks.  Visitors by virtue of the coin flip, the Redbirds scored two
    runs in the first when Charlie Mc Ginn reached on a walk, Joe Faulds was hit
    by a pitch, Jeff Riddle sacrificed them into scoring position, and Jared Yost
    delivered an RBI single plating Mc Ginn, and Brent Jorgensen plated Faulds
    on a ground out.  In the third, the Redbirds scored five more runs on Antigo
    errors, singles by Brent Jorgensen, Andy Newhouse, a walk to Greg Fisher,
    and RBI fielder’s choice by Charlie Mc Ginn, stolen bases by Faulds and Mc
    Ginn,  and RBI singles by Cory Williams and Jeff Riddle.  The Redbirds
    scored a run in the fourth and two more in the fifth on singles by Riddle, an
    RBI fielder’s choice by Gloe, and an RBI sac fly by Yost.  In the sixth the
    Redbirds ended the game by 10-run rule on a sacrifice by Joe Faulds, and
    singles by Charlie Mc Ginn, Jeff Riddle, Jared Yost, and Cory Williams.

WIAA - Sectional Semi-Final vs. Bay Port - June 6 - De Pere 9 Bay Port 8
    Trailing 3-0 in the fifth, after a Redbird error and a walk issued by starter
    Jeff Riddle, Bay Port scored three runs as Riddle was relieved by Cory Gloe
    for one out, and Jared Yost for the other.  The Redbirds scored a single run
    in the 5th after two Chris Wakefield strikeouts, when Cory Gloe was hit by a
    pitch, Andy Newhouse walked, and Cory William singled driving them in.  
    Yost was replaced by Gloe in the sixth after Bay Port loaded the bases and
    scored 4 more runs, but in the Redbird sixth, McGinn, Faulds, Riddle, Yost,
    Gloe, Jorgensen and Fisher scored seven runs on free passes,  Mc Ginn’s
    bunt single and Jeff Riddle’s 2-RBI single.  The Redbirds scored the winning
    run in the seventh when Gloe reached on a Pirate error, Jorgensen
    sacrificed him over, and Greg Fisher’s line grounder forced another Bay
    Port error to score Gloe.

WIAA Regional Final vs. Ashwaubenon - June 2 - De Pere 8 Ashwaubenon 6
    The Redbirds had earned the second seed in their bracket of the
    Ashwaubenon Sectional, by virtue of their 16-4 season record, allowing
    them to bye into the Regional Final.  The De Pere scored first in the third
    inning when Charlie Mc Ginn reached on a fielder’s choice, Joe Faulds was
    hit by a pitch, and Jeff Riddle blasted a 3-run homer.  Ashwaubenon
    answered in the fourth inning on three straight singles and a Jody Van
    Lanen double after starting pitcher Jeff Riddle delivered two strikeouts to
    start the inning.  The Jags plated another run off Riddle in the fifth on two
    singles and a Redbird error, but relief pitcher Jared Yost got Josh Lalande
    to hit into a Cory Gloe unassisted double play to end the inning.  

    The Redbirds erupted for five runs in the fifth sending 10 batters to the plate
    facing Kevin Williams and Kevin Penza in relief when Cory Williams was hit
    by a pitch, Charlie Mc Ginn was safe on a sacrifice, Joe Faulds sacrificed,
    Jeff Riddle was intentionally walked, Jared Yost reached on an error, and
    Brent Jorgensen delivered a 2 RBI single.  Greg Fisher singled, and Andy
    Newhouse drove in Jorgensen.

    Ashwaubenon plated their last run in the seventh on a throwing error and a
    double.  Pitcher Jared Yost got the win, allowing just one hit and one
    unearned run in relief.  The win gave De Pere their 11th trip to Sectionals in
    the last 13 years.  The Redbirds have won 7 Bay Conference
    championships since 1994.

With the two wins, De Pere clinched a co-championship in the Bay Conference with
Seymour with both teams having 12-4 records.

Varsity vs. New London - May 25 DH Game 2 De Pere 11 New London 1
    The Redbirds scored two in the second on a single by Brent Jorgensen,
    Andy’s Newhouse’s walk, and Charled Mc Ginn’s 2 RBI single.  In the third
    De Pere scored six runs on singles by Jeff Riddle, Yost, Gloe, Jorgensen,
    and Greg Fisher, Faulds, and a sac fly by Andy Newhouse.  Riddle tripled in
    the fourth, and scored on a wild pitch, while Gloe walked and scored on a
    error.  Cory Williams and Charlie Mc Ginn singled in the fifth, with Williams
    scoring on a Joe Faulds single to end the game on the 10-run rule.  Cory
    Gloe went the distance allowing just one hit, a solo homer in the first.  He
    struck out 3, and walked 4.

Varsity vs. New London - May 25 DH Game 1 De Pere 8 New London 5
    Charlie McGinn led off the game with a double, and Jeff Riddle drove him in
    with a fielder’s choice.  In the second, Andy Newhouse walked and scored
    on Joe Fauld’s double.  In the third, Cory Gloe singled and scored on an
    error.  In the fifth the Redbirds scored three runs as Yost singled, and
    scored on Cory Gloe’s double. Brent Jorgensen then drove in Yost, and
    Greg Fisher drove in Jorgensen. New London scored one in the fourth ,
    and  4 in the 5th on 4 straight hits,  but leading by just a run, Jared Yost in
    relief of starter Brent Jorgensen struck out the side in both the sixth and the
    seventh while the Redbirds scored two more runs on singles by Mc Ginn and
    Faulds and Yost’s two-run double.  Brent Jorgensen was the winning pitcher
    with Yost in relief.

    The De Pere JV baseball team finished their season with a win on Thursday.
    Nick Rukamp led De Pere with three hits, two runs scored and an RBI.  Matt
    Rukamp and Jake DeCleene added two hits apiece.  Joe Betcher got the
    win, pitching 6 and 1/3 innings, striking out five batters.  Cal Winters closed
    out the game in the seventh.  De Pere finished up their season with an 11-4
    conference record and 11-5 overall.

Varsity vs. Seymour - May 24 - De Pere 12 Seymour 2
    With two games left to play the Redbirds (10-4,/Bay, 14-4) climbed back into
    a loss tie with Seymour who had clinched at least a share of the Bay
    Conference title by beating Seymour 12-2 on the 10-run rule in 5 innings.  
    De Pere scored 9 runs in the first inning on seven Redbird hits including two
    2 RBI doubles by Cory Williams and Jeff Riddle, singles by Jared Yost, Cory
    Gloe, Andy Newhouse, Charlie Mc Ginn, and Joe Faulds. De Pere scored
    three more runs in the third inning when Faulds doubled Williams and
    McGinn who had reached on errors, and Riddle singled in Faulds.  Jeff
    Riddle was the winning pitcher allowing three hits and walking 3.

JV @ Seymour - May 24 - De Pere 8 Seymour 7
    De Pere and Seymour traded leads back and forth, but De Pere prevailed in
    the 11th inning to defeat Seymour.  De Pere was led by Cory Ott who went
    5x6 on the day.  Matt Rukamp and Brian Driscoll each had two hits.  Joe
    VandenAvond drove in two runs.  Ryan Gloe pitched the first 8 and 2/3,
    striking out eight.  Cal Winters earned the win by giving up no runs in 2 and
    1/3 innings of relief.  Matt Rukamp scored the winning run in the eleventh
    after he doubled to start off the inning.  He later scored on a throwing error.  
    De Pere is now 10-4 in conference play and finishes their season versus
    New London on Thursday at 5:30.

Varsity vs. Marinette - May 22 - De Pere 6 Marinette 0
    Charlie Mc Ginn and Joe Faulds were driven in by Cory Gloe and Brent
    Jorgensen in the first.  Leading 2-0, Cory Williams singled to lead off the
    fourth and scored on a wild pitch.  In the sixth, Williams, Mc Ginn, and
    Faulds scored with Fauld and Jared Yost driving in runs.  Jared Yost was the
    winning pitcher allowing 5 hits and issuing 7 strike-outs.

    De Pere got a nice pitching performance from Nick Rukamp to end a two-
    game losing streak.  Nick Rukamp pitched a complete game allowing only
    five hits and struck out four.  De Pere was led in hitting by Joe Betcher, Joe
    VandenAvond, and Ryan Gloe, each collecting two hits apiece.  De Pere is
    now 9-4 in conference play.

Varsity @ West De Pere - May 18 - De Pere 5 West De Pere 4
    The Redbirds (8-4,12-4) defeated West De Pere 7-4.  The Redbirds scored
    two runs in the first when Jeff Riddle walked and Jared Yost drove him in with
    a double.  In the fifth, Brent Jorgensen, Andy Newhouse, and Charlie Mc
    Ginn singled, with Mc Ginn driving  in Jorgensen, and Yost plating Mc Ginn.  
    Two more runs were scored in the sixth when Jorgensen singled and scored
    on double by Richie Bennie, Bennie scored on a Newhouse single.  Cory
    Gloe and Brent Jorgensen threw a combined 5-hitter with Gloe getting the
    win and Jorgensen getting the save.

    De Pere was only able to collect three hits against West De Pere, but
    managed three runs in a losing effort.  Joe VandenAvond hit an RBI double
    to score Matt Rukamp from first to get to within two runs in the sixth, but
    could not score anymore runs.

Varsity vs. Ashwaubenon - May 16 - De Pere 8 Ashwaubenon 1
    De Pere (11-4, 7-4) scored a run in the first and never trailed defeating
    Ashwaubenon (9-7, 8-5) 8-1 in De Pere’s home game moved to
    Ashwaubenon for conditions.  Joe Faulds scored the first run after doubling,
    then scoring on Joe Young’s walk following a walk issued to Jeff Riddle, and
    Jared Yost being hit by a pitch.  With two out the Redbirds erupted for four
    runs in the second on Charlie Mc Ginn’s double, and singles by Faulds and
    Yost and another Riddle walk. Faulds scored a single run in the fourth after
    being hit by a pitch and was driven in on Cory Gloe’s sacrifice fly.  Two
    insurance runs were scored in the fifth when Cory Williams walked, Brent
    Jorgensen singled, Mc Ginn sacrificed in Williams, and Riddle singled in
    Jorgensen.  Jeff Riddle went the distance for the win.  He gave up five hits
    and no earned runs, struck out 5 and walked three.

    De Pere got a first inning RBI by Joe VandenAvond and that was all the
    Redbirds could muster against the Jaguars on Tuesday.  De Pere collected
    only four hits in the game.  De Pere plays host to West De Pere on
    Thursday.

Freshman vs. West De Pere (DH) - May 6 - DP 16 WDP 6/DP 8 WDP 7
    The Freshmen baseball team improved its record to 7-2 with a sweep of
    West De Pere on Saturday.  The Redbirds took game 1 16 – 6.  They were
    lead offensively by Kyle Ott and Dan Tomac who each had two hits and four
    RBI’s.  Mike Beyer also collected two hits and three RBI’s to pace the
    winners.  Ott and Neal Henrigillis shared the mound duties giving up 6 hits
    and 3 walks while striking out 3.

    In the second game the Redbirds came away with an exciting 8-7 victory
    after falling behind 5-0.  Jake De Cleene and Kory Guns lead the way with
    two hits and two RBI’s apiece.  Mound duties were shared by Henrigillis,
    Guns and Charlie Shoman.  Combined they gave up 10 hits, 2 walks, 4
    earned runs, while striking out 1.

Varsity @ Pulaski - May 4 - De Pere 4 Pulaski 1
    The Redbirds went out to a 1-0 lead when Cory Gloe and Charlie Me Ginn
    singled, and Joe Young hit a sac fly to center to score Gloe.  De Pere plated
    two more in the fifth on singles by Joe Faulds and Jared Yost, hit batsmen
    Nick Geisen, and an RBI fielder’s choice by Gloe.  Pulaski answered with a
    single run in the fifth on a solo lead-off home run.  The Birds added an
    insurance run in the seventh when Yost singled, and Gloe singled him in.  
    Charlie Mc Ginn had three hits including a triple, and Joe Faulds, Jared
    Yost, and Cory Gloe each had two.  Gloe had two RBI’s.  Brent Jorgensen
    also had  a single.  Jeff Riddle was the winning pitcher allowing 7 hits,
    striking out 5, and walking three.

JV vs. Pulaski - May 4 - De Pere 9 Pulaski 8
    De Pere fell behind 6-0 after two innings, only to come back and win 9-8
    over Pulaski.  De Pere was led by Matt Rukamp and Joe Betcher.  Rukamp
    had four RBI’s and Betcher had three RBI’s.  Both players had two hits.  
    Cory Ott and Ross McCormick added two RBI’s apiece in the win.  Cal
    Winters earned the win on the mound by pitching the final four innings,
    allowing no runs, three hits, and no walks.  De Pere is now 8-2 in conference
    play.  De Pere will visit Seymour next Tuesday.

Varsity @ Shawano - May 2 - De Pere 3 Shawano 2
    Down 2-0 after the first inning, the Redbirds answered with a run in the
    second on Jared Yost’s double, and Nick Geisen’s RBI single.  Joe Faulds
    scored to tie the game in the third after reaching on an error, stealing
    second, and scoring on another Yost single.  The Redbirds went ahead 3-2
    in the fourth when Nick Geisen singled, Cory Gloe singled, and Geisen
    scored on the double steal.  Gloe and Yost shared the mound allowing 7
    hits, striking out 3, and walking none.

    De Pere (7-2 league) defeated Shawano (7-4) behind Ryan Gloe's complete
    game.  Gloe allowed six hits and struck out three.  Joe VandenAvond led the
    Redbird attack with three hits and two RBI's.  Zach Henderson also had a
    two-run double in the second inning to get the scoring started.  Joe Betcher
    played great defense behind Ryan Gloe making eight plays, including an
    assist on a bare-handed pickup on a bad hop.

JV @ Luxemburg-Casco - May 1 - De Pere 5 Lux-Casco 6
    De Pere gave up only one hit in the game, but lost 6-5.  Five Lux-Casco
    runs were scored from walks and the other run came on an error.  De Pere
    was led in hitting by Andy Newhouse who led the game off with a home run.  
    Newhouse finished the day 3x4.  Joe Betcher and Brent Jorgensen added
    two hits apiece.  Betcher and Cory Ott also had two RBI's.

    In Bayport’s home game, an error and a single following a walk and a hit
    batsmen scored three for Bayport, and a fielder’s choice plated a third run  
    giving Bayport a 4-0 lead in the third inning.  The Redbirds answered with a
    single run in the 6th when Charlie Mc Ginn singled and Andy Van Rens
    drove him in with a fielder’s choice.  The Redbirds rallied for 3 runs in the
    7th when Andy Newhouse and Brent Jorgensen, driven in by Charlie Mc
    Ginn’s second hit of the game.  Jeff Riddle was the losing pitcher giving up 6
    hits and walking and striking out three.  Brent Jorgensen had two hits for the
    Redbirds.

Varsity vs. Bayport - April 29 - DH Game 1 - De Pere 2 Bay Port 5
    In the first and home game of Saturday’s doubleheader,  down 2-0, Jeff
    Riddle singled and was driven in by Jared Yost’s triple.  Yost scored on a
    double by Andy Van Rens.  Bayport came back and scored 3 in the seventh
    on Redbird miscues and one single.  Brent Jorgensen went the first 6 2/3
    innings with Cory Gloe taking the loss.  The duo gave up 11 hits, struck out
    3, and walked one.  Jeff Riddle and Jared Yost were both 2 x 4.

    De Pere allowed five unearned runs to lose the second game of the
    doubleheader on Saturday.  Neal Henrigillis led De Pere in hitting with two
    hits.  Joe Betcher gave up just one earned run in five innings and Cal
    Winters pitched the final two innings allowing no runs.

    Nick Rukamp pitched four innings earning the win and also collected two hits
    and an RBI.  Joe Betcher, Cory Ott, and Ross McCormick also had two hits.  
    Betcher and McCormick had two RBI's apiece.  Cal Winters pitched three
    scoreless innings in relief.

Freshman vs. Luxemburg-Casco - April 28 - De Pere 5 Lux-Cas 2
    The Freshmen baseball team improved to 5-2 with a 5-2 victory over
    Luxembourg-Casco.  Charlie Shoman picked up the win pitching giving up
    one run and four hits while striking out four batters.  Shoman and Jake
    DeCleene led the way at the plate for the Redbirds with two hits apiece.  

Freshman vs. Shawano - April 27 - De Pere 8 Shawano 4
    The freshmen baseball team improved to 4-2 with an 8-4 victory over
    Shawano.  Neal Henrigillis got the mound win going four innings allowing six
    hits, seven strikeouts and two walks.  Kyle Ott pitched solid relief giving up
    three hits while striking out four and walking 1.  Ott and Josh Honzik led the
    way offensively with two RBI’s each.

Varsity @ Marinette - April 25 - De Pere 6 Marinette 0
    Joe Faulds doubled in the first and scored on an infield error to lift the
    Redbirds to an early lead.  They came back in the 5th to score four more
    runs on hits by Richie Bennie and Jeff Riddle, and stolen bases by Faulds,
    Riddle, Yost, and Bennie.  The Birds added an single run in the 6th when
    Greg Fisher walked, Cory Williams singled.  Joe Faulds had two hits, and
    Joe Young also singled.  Jared Yost was the winning pitcher with 5
    strikeouts.  Joe Faulds was in relief.  The Redbirds are now 4-2 in
    conference play, and 8-2 overall.

    De Pere (5-1) battled back from a 10-4 deficit to score three in the fifth and
    four in the sixth to defeat Marinette (3-3).  Joe Betcher pitched the last two
    and a thirds innings to earn the win.  Betcher gave up only two hits, no
    walks, and struck out two.  Betcher also had two hits.  Nick Rukamp and Joe
    VandenAvond had three hits apiece.  Matt Rukamp had a two-run triple in
    the sixth to spark De Pere's comeback.

Varsity vs. West De Pere - April 24 - De Pere 4 West De Pere 15
    Jeff Riddle singled, Andy Van Rens doubled, and Joe Faulds had an RBI
    single while Jared Yost doubled in two more runs for the Redbird’s 3-run first
    inning.  The Birds scored again in the 4th when Cory Williams led off with a
    double, Greg Fisher singled, and Charlie Mc Ginn drove in Williams. But
    West De Pere had thirteen hits, 7 of them extra base hits, and 3 home runs
    to defeat the Redbirds 15-4.  Yost, Faulds, and Williams pitched, all gave up
    runs, with starter Yost taking the loss.

    Brent Jorgensen pitched a complete game, allowing five hits and one earned
    run.  Jorgensen also led De Pere in hits with two.  De Pere got their winning
    run on a hit by Joe VandenAvond to score Zach Henderson in the three-run
    sixth inning.  De Pere is now  4-1.  The West De Pere Phantoms were
    unbeaten in conference play entering the game.

Freshman @ Bayport - April 22 - De Pere 6 Bayport 10/De Pere 12 Bayport 1
    The Freshmen baseball team improved their record to 3-2 with a victory
    over Ashwaubenon on Friday and a split with Bay Port on Saturday.
    On Friday the Redbirds beat Ashwaubenon 15-3.  They were led offensively
    by Kory Guns who hit a grand slam for the second consecutive game.  Jake
    DeCleene had two hits the three RBI’s for the winners while Ben Verbeten
    also had two hits.  Neal Henrigillis picked up the mound win.
    In the first game Saturday the Red birds fell 10-6 to Bay Port.  Kory Guns
    had three hits and three RBI’s for the Red birds.  Jake DeCleene also
    chipped in two hits for the Redbirds.  
    In the second game of the doubleheader the Redbirds beat Bay Port 12-1.  
    Criag Hooyman led the way offensively with three hits, while Jake De Cleene,
    Neal Henrigillis, and Andrew Mulvey had two hits a piece for the winners.  
    Kory Guns picked up the win on the mound.

Varsity @ Ashwaubenon - April 20 - De Pere 2 Ashwaubenon 1
    The Redbirds jumped out to an early one-run lead as Charlie McGinn drew
    a lead-off walk, stole second, and he was doubled in by Jeff Riddle.  The
    Jags answered with a run in the first on a single and a fielder’s choice.  In
    the sixth, with two outs, Joe Faulds homered for a Redbird 2-1 lead.  The
    Birds left the bases loaded in the seventh with Jared Yost’s walk and singles

    to-back singles to start the inning, but winning pitcher Jeff Riddle got the
    Jags to pop up twice and hit into a fielder’s choice to end the game.  Riddle
    gave up 5 hits, struck out 6, walked three and hit one batsmen.

    Ryan Gloe pitched a complete game four-hitter.  Gloe also added two hits
    and an RBI.  Brent Jorgensen and Zach Henderson had two hits apiece.

    The Redbirds scored first in this 11-inning marathon as Jared Yost homered
    driving in Joe Faulds in the 1st inning.  Trailing 3-2 in the 6th, Joe Young
    walked, Andy Van Rens singled, and Cory Gloe lined a 2-run double to put
    the Redbirds back on top.  Tied again after 7, Seymour hung on to score
    the winning run in the 11th .  Jeff Riddle also singled, while Yost and Gloe
    shared the mound, with Gloe pitching the last 5 taking the loss.

    The De Pere Redbird JV baseball team (2-1) was led by Brent Jorgensen
    who pitched a complete game, giving up four hits and striking out seven.  
    Jorgensen also had three hits and two RBI's.  Zach Henderson and Ryan
    Gloe also added two RBI's apiece.

Freshman @ Marinette - April 11 - De Pere 11 Marinette 0
    The freshmen baseball team got its first victory of the season in an 11-0 win
    over Marinette.  Charlie Shoman picked up the win on the mound throwing
    and impressive one-hitter while striking out seven batters.  Kory Guns led
    the Redbirds offensively with five RBI”s including a grand slam.
    Steven McNicall also added two RBI’s in the win.

Varsity vs. Pulaski - April 10 - De Pere 10 Pulaski 0
    Jeff Riddle shut out the Raiders in 5 innings striking out 4 and issuing a lone
    walk while allowing just 3 hits supported by Jared Yost’s 2x4, 4 RBI
    performance which included a 3-run double in the fifth to end the game on
    runs.  Riddle, Joe Faulds, Cory Gloe, and Richie Bennie all had singles.  
    Charlie McGinn stole 3 bases of the Redbirds total 7.

    The De Pere JV Baseball team won 13-11 @ Pulaski.  De Pere was led by
    Junior Matt Rukamp who was 4X4 with two doubles, a home run and three
    RBI’s.  Nick Rukamp and Ryan Gloe also homered for De Pere.  Brent
    Jorgensen had a three-run double in second inning.  Nick Rukamp pitched
    five innings, striking out four in the win.

    De Pere got behind 11-2 after three innings, but battled back in the fifth with
    six runs to close the game to 11-9.  That is where the scored ended up.  De
    Pere was led in hitting by Brent Jorgensen 2x4.  Andy Newhouse and Joe
    VandenAvond each had two RBI’s apiece.  Matt Rukamp took the loss.

    Pitcher Jared Yost held Shawano to a lone run in the 7th inning, going 6
    innings striking out 5, walking 4 and scattering 6 hits for the win.  He also
    singled and scored in the 4th.  Jeff Riddle had scored in the first after a
    walk, a stolen base, and was plated by Joe Fauld’s sac fly.  Riddle got the

    Jeff Riddle, Charlie McGinn, Joe Young, Joe Faulds, Andy Van Rens, and
    Nick Geisen all scored in the first inning with Geinsen singling.  Riddle
    scored again in the the 3rd after two outs when he walked, stole third, and
    came home on a passed ball.  Cory Gloe was the winning pitcher walking
    and striking out 4, scattering 3 hits.

    The Redbirds slugged out 18 runs on 12 hits while Jeff Riddle pitched all 5
    innings of the score-shortened game to route Mc Creary Central 18-0.  
    Riddle struck out 10, walked 4, and allowed just one hit.  Richie Bennie and
    Greg Fisher were 2x3 and Cory Ott went 2x4.  Charlie McGinn, Joe Faulds,
    Andy Van Rens, Jared Yost, Cory Williams, and Cory Gloe each singled.

    Jared Yost went 5 innings and Cory Gloe finished out the last two, the duo
    giving up 7 hits and walking 5 in the 10-9 win.  Charlie McGinn and Andy
    Van Rens’ pinch runner Jeff Riddle scored on walks and errors in the first.  
    McGinn, Joe Faulds, and Jared Yost scored in the second when McGinn
    walked, Faulds doubled, and Joe Young singled.  In the sixth the Redbirds
    scored three runs when McGinn and Rich Bennie singled.  Van Rens
    walked, and Yost and Young both singled in the seventh to plate Yost for
    the winning run.
